Mypaper.in is a website committed to providing safe, secure and fun information to people of all ages. It is designed to share information about My Paper, a monthly newspaper for children.
We understand that several visitors to this site may be children and hence mypaper.in takes special care to protect personal information of its users. We take sincere efforts to ensure that children only access content that is appropriate for them.
All content exchanged by users and displayed on the site is rigorously screened by moderators to ensure that no personal contact information about a user is inadvertently revealed. All site content is also monitored by moderators to ensure that it is appropriate for children.
Information Collected
When a reader submits material through the ‘Write to Us’ or ‘Subscribe to My Paper’ sections, we directly collect personal information from the user (Example: first name, shipping address with a contact number). We ask for this only for administrative purpose and dispatch.
All such information that we collect about our users is stored in a secure data facility and is only available to authorised personnel at My Paper. Content contributed by readers is visible to other readers of My Paper along with the contributing reader’s name, class, school and city. User content that is on display on the newspaper is screened by My Paper moderators to ensure that no personal contact information (Example: e-mail address, shipping address, telephone number) is revealed to other readers, thus ensuring a safe environment for all.
Content submitted to My Paper may be used across all of My Paper’s different platforms and derivatives, versions, editions and adaptations, both physical and digital, across all territories. The content will be suitably credited wherever possible depending on the use.
If the parent or guardian of an under-18 user of My Paper objects to any content or information posted by their child, they may contact My Paper and we will delete it. Parents or legal guardians may also request that My Paper remove children’s personal information at any time. They can do this by sending an email to publishermypaper@gmail.com
Security and Protection of Information
We take additional precautions to secure and protect the information we collect. However, no information collected over the Internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure. If we become aware of a security breach that may affect a user’s personal information, we will immediately take due action. My Paper does not rent or sell personal information to any third party. We will only share the reader’s personal information under the following circumstances: to comply with a subpoena, court order, or other legal proceeding or if otherwise requested by a legitimate law enforcement body to cooperate in their investigations; to prevent, investigate or take some other action against illegal activities, potential fraud, potential physical threats to any person, violations of our terms of service or in any other way as required by law.
To ensure functionality of the website and execution of promotions, we will provide information to affiliated companies or other businesses or persons who provide web site hosting, maintenance and security services, fulfill delivery of physical merchandise (printed copy) or create new site features. We require that these parties process such information in compliance with this Privacy Policy. We authorise only a limited use of such information and we require these parties to use appropriate confidentiality measures.
